History & Culture

Guaiacwood has been used in South America for centuries. The Guaiacum tree is the national tree of Jamaica. doTERRA sources this oil sustainably from Paraguay as a co-product of the timber industry — the sawdust and offcuts from lumber production are distilled rather than discarded.
