Tea Tree is native to Australia and has been used by Aboriginal Australians for thousands of years. The leaves were applied to wounds and inhaled for respiratory complaints. During WWII, Australian soldiers carried Tea Tree oil as a standard first aid item. It became globally recognized in the 1970s as scientific research confirmed its traditional uses.
